Joseph S. Iandiorio
Mr. Iandiorio, the founding partner, has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1965, first with Fish Richardson & Neave of New York and Boston, then in his own firm beginning in 1967. Before that Mr. Iandiorio was employed as a Patent Examiner in the Computer Division of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He also worked as an engineer previous to his employment by the Patent Office and has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree. He is a member of the bar of the District of Columbia and Massachusetts and is admitted to the Court of Appeals of the First Circuit, the Court of Appeals of the Federal Circuit, the Court of Appeals of the District of Columbia, and the Federal District Court of the District of Massachusetts and the Federal District Court of the District of Columbia. He is a registered patent attorney admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Iandiorio lectures regularly and his writings are published widely in the field of intellectual property. He is a co-author of The Portable MBA in Entrepreneurship, now in its second edition, published by
John Wiley and Sons and is the author of
the section on intellectual property in the
new Encyclopedia of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering also published by John Wiley and Sons. He
also has written and published his own newsletter
Decisions & Developments, since 1980, on issues relating to intellectual
property and writes and publishes New Ideas, Methods, and Products, a series of primers in brochure format
on the same topics. He is presently co-author
of a new book, High-Tech Entrepreneurship: Creating, Growing
and Harvesting a Venture to be published soon by John Wiley and Sons.
Mr. Iandiorio is actively involved in fostering the creation and growth of small businesses and high-technology companies. He was chosen as the SBA's Lawyer Small Business Advocate of the Year. He has been: a Director and Treasurer of the Massachusetts Technology Development Corporation, a venture capital fund, since 1980; Chairman and a longtime Director of the Smaller Business Association of New England; Chairman of the governor's Advisory Council on Small Business; Chairman of the Small Business Development Committee; a member of the Massachusetts Small Business Advisory Council and the Science and Technology Advisory Board. He is a member of the Advisory Board on Intellectual Property at the Franklin Pierce Law School and was a founding member of the Steering Committee and a Sponsor of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Venture Forum. He is a recipient of the IEEE United States Activities Board Regional Professional Leadership Award and was a co-founder of the IEEE Entrepreneur's Network.

Kirk Teska
Patent attorney Kirk Teska is a partner specializing
in patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade
secrets, licensing, and litigation of intellectual property matters, employee and consultant contracts, confidential
disclosure agreements, and other related
areas of intellectual property.
Mr. Teska is actively involved in fostering the creation and growth of small businesses and high-technology companies. Mr. Teska was a co-chairman of the IEEE Entrepreneurs' Network and is a columnist for Mass High Tech, authoring the monthly column Patent Watch which features a review of selected patents issued to New England companies and changes in the laws concerning intellectual property. He also publishes many articles and delivers numerous lectures each year on topics in intellectual property law. Mr. Teska is a volunteer "Lawyer for the Arts" and an adjunct Professor of Law at the Suffolk University Law School and also at the Franklin Pierce Law Center, Concord, New Hampshire - ranked the #1 patent law school by U.S. News and World Report in 1997, 1998, and 1999.
Mr. Teska has experience with the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshsire as an intern/clerk for Judge Norman Stahl (now of the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals.) Prior to law school, Mr. Teska worked as an engineer for the U.S. Department of Defense, Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach, California. He has a BSME, a Master of Science degree, and a Juris Doctor degree.

 Roy J. Coleman
Roy J. Coleman is a Partner at Iandiorio Teska & Coleman. Mr. Coleman received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center, in Concord, New Hampshire, specializing in Intellectual Property law. Mr. Coleman is a member of the Bars of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
Mr. Coleman has a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Engineering from Boston University. Mr. Coleman has also taken post baccalaureate courses in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Immunology. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Coleman worked for two years as biomedical research engineer investigating biomedical ultrasound back-scattering. Mr. Coleman presented results of his research at the Joint Spring Meeting of the New England Section of the American Physical Society, Wellesley College, Massachusetts. The abstract from his presentation is published in the Transactions of the American Physical Society (Dec. 92), and his work was acknowledged by the authors of “Ultrasound Scattering from Spherical Tumors”, Physics, Medicine, and Biology (Vol. 37, No. 11, 2035-2044). Mr. Coleman also worked for ten years as a software engineer and systems analyst prior to becoming a patent attorney. Mr. Coleman’s practice specializes in developing intellectual property strategies for his clients, as well as preparation of patent applications, patent infringement and validity opinions, and patentability search requests. Mr. Coleman is also involved in patent, trademark, and copyright litigation. Mr. Coleman has prepared numerous patent applications in a multitude of disciplines, including, inter alia, complex electronic systems, power systems, optics, biomedical devices, mechanical systems, spacecraft, warheads, computer software and business methods, chemical compositions, waste water treatment systems, and supercritical fluid chromatography. Mr. Coleman is and active member of the Program Committee of Merrimack Valley Venture Forum and a member of the Medical Device Group at Worcester Polytechnic Institute Venture Forum. He also previously served as Vice Chair, Programs for IEEE Entrepreneurs’ Network.

 Thomas E. Thompkins, Jr.
Thomas E. Thompkins, Jr. is an Associate at Iandiorio Teska & Coleman. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law in West Hartford, Connecticut. Mr. Thompkins has a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts. Prior to joining the firm, Tom practiced general litigation at a firm in Boston, Massachusetts for six years, which included numerous court appearances and depositions, trial preparation and second chair at many trials. Tom's practice now focuses on patent application drafting, prosecution and litigation.

David W. Poirier is an associate at Iandiorio

in 1997 and his Bachelor's of Science in
Electrical Engineering from the University
